Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet

If I want to obtain happiness or even stability

I’ll have to remind myself daily that patience is key.

No longer demanding that I get what I want instantly

and I’ll have to learn to live life slowly by taking it easy.

Start living the humble life without being centre of attention –

it doesn’t mean I’m loved any less if men don’t fawn over me.

You were right when you said I wanted to be placed on a pedestal

I didn’t know it then and felt hurt that you’d read me so cleverly.

Again my apology goes out to you – you know who you are

and I know you don’t care but for peace of mind and what I

think is right, please know that I’m sorry and meant no harm.

I wish I could talk to you but you speak your mind quite frankly

and I fear my walls crumble whenever I hear the brutal truth.

So I’ll simply write my thoughts out here and hope to those that

walked out of my life will know that I’m on the road to recovery.
